Right or wrong, it's still just an opinion.

John Edwards And His Controversial Campaign Bloggers

Apparently even John Edwards wants to get into the blogging game these days, while he drives down the road to hopefully come to an end at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

However, as Fox News and Bill O'Reilly reported, apparently these bloggers made the Edwards campaign look like they couldn't even make a simple decision to fire these two bloggers that were on the payroll, after their controversial remarks, offending a large voter constituency.

I'm not sure these two would have lasted on my staff after the comments that O'Reilly reported about last night on The O'Reilly Factor. The comments were pretty harsh and disgusting.

So long, good riddance.

Proof That Traffic Tickets Can Come Back and Haunt

TMZ.com has obtained a traffic ticket given to Larry Birkhead back in April 15, 2006.

Could be another important piece of evidence to bring down Howard K. Stern's world, however small it may be.

Wendy McCaw Breaks Silence... to Employees

Well for those of you following the News-Press debacle, the Independent was leaked a confidential memo that Wendy McCaw has crafted to state the News-Press stance on the ongoing meltdown.

Makes for an interesting read, and one must wonder, when the News-Press will cease to exist and Santa Barbara City Hall has their logo affixed to the building.

Ellen DeGeneres Selling Montecito Home?

Barney Brantingham over at the Independent is reporting that talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is quietly putting her Montecito home on the market that she purchased last fall for a reported $16.5 million.

Did she even live in the place?

Obama and his smoking...

Various media outlets are running pieces on Senator Barack Obama and his smoking habits. He's claimed to smoke less than five cigarettes a day. The media outlets are now jumping on this bandwagon, asking if it will hurt his chances to run for the Presidency in 2008, if he continues to smoke.

I'm not sure what smoking has to do with policy, etc. and why it would affect someones chances to run, but nonetheless, there will be outspoken politicians on this issue.

Anna's Death Fridge

TMZ.com is reporting that it has obtained an exclusive photo of Anna Nicole Smith's refrigerator in the Bahamas. The refrigerator, which was located in Anna Nicole's bedroom, contained methadone, along with other various items. They claim they have verified the authenticity of the photos.

The saga continues...

Philadelphia Steak Shop Sign Debate

WPVI Philadelphia is runnnig a story about a local steak shop owner who has put a sign in this window stating "This is America: when ordering please speak English."

I originally saw a piece on this on CNN's Newsroom Sunday, and the owner, Joey Vento, did have a valid point. After talking to the Joey, the point of first amendment rights were brought up.

There is a public hearing that will be taking place before the city's human relations commission, but there has been no date set yet.

Does this fall within the realm of first amendment issues? Does a business owner not have the right to state his opinion via a sign he's placed in his window? Interestingly enough, the article referenced here goes on to state that a lady named Margie Abreu, who is the daughter of Spanish speaking parents, says the sign does not offend her.

2 Teen Brothers Sentenced for Cooking Puppy to Death

Fox News is reporting on two teenage brothers in Atlanta being sentenced to 10 years for cooking a puppy to death.

A read of the story is quite sickening when it gets into the details on the puppy.

I'm glad they got 10 years, although they deserve more, for committing this act upon a helpless creature.

But one must wonder... why would kids do this in the first place. (The boys are reported as being 17 and 19.) I would have to question the childhood and values the parents placed (or obviously didn't place) in these kids upbringing.

Los Angeles Hospital Dumps Paraplegic on Skid Row

The AP is reporting that a 41-year old paraplegic man was dumped on skid row.

The AP article states that "Witnesses told police a van from Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center pulled up to a tiny park in the grimy area near downtown at 10:45am Thursday, a side door opened and a man, dressed in a green hospital gown and pants, began struggling to get out. The driver looked on."

I don't care who you are, but there is no human being that deserves to be 'dumped' along a road. Obviously, he was at the hospital for a reason, and whether or not his time was up at the hospital, he did not deserve to be dumped along a road, with no services around.

The price of doing this? The Los Angeles City Attorney's office filed an indictment for homeless dumping against Kaiser Permanente for a similar incident earlier last year.

The Three Ring Media Circus on the Death Anna Nicole Smith

Oh I'm sure everyone has heard by now, Anna Nicole Smith is dead, at age 39. Still feuding is Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead, who both lay claim to being Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern (Anna Nicole Smith's 5-month old daughter).

On Friday, in Los Angeles, CA, a judge refused to order an emergency DNA test on Smith's body, which was requested by Larry Birkhead, who is claiming to be the father of Dannielynn.

Now, let's jump to Florida...
The Broward County, FL medical examiner performed an autospy on Smith's body, with the autospy being inconslusive. He stated it will take three to five weeks for toxicological reports.

Now, let's jump back to California...
Zsa Zsa Gabor... remember her? Well, it's not her this time, its her husband, Prince Frederick von Anhalt, who has jumped on the bandwagon, saying that he had a decade-long affair with Anna Nicole, and he may be the father of little Dannielynn. He wants file a lawsuit if Dannielynn is turned over to either Howard K. Stern or Larry Birkhead.

A lot of jumping around today on just one case. I'm sure the female astronaut that held the #1 news position earlier this week about her shenanigans driving from Texas to Florida to possibly attempt murdering another lady that had an interest in the same male astronaut.

Are you noticing a Florida theme lately?!

Madam Speaker's Hopeful New Digs in the Air

Does Madam Speaker really need a plane that can fly her from DC to her California home without having to stop for refueling? See CNN article.

Yes, while it would be extremely convenient to fly non-stop, is it really that she can't spare a few precious minutes to refuel and get on with the trip?

Recent reports today state that Nancy herself did not request the larger aircraft, but instead, the House Sergeant-At-Arms did.
