Hanoi Hilton Survivor On Torture

Hanoi Hilton Survivor On Torture

HANOI HILTON SURVIVOR ON TORTURE

Author: Mr Black
06.03.09

This came in from Mr. BUFF. This is Colonel Bud Day’s commentary on real torture. Pay attention, Hussein Obama.

BEGINS:

The prelude to the “response” below, from Colonel Bud Day, Medal of Honor recipient (prisoner of war survivor) reads, “I didn’t expect to be reminded of my treatment some 36 years ago on this holiday weekend, but our politicians find it worthy to ignore what some have tried to recount to them, who have actually been there.”

****************************************************************************
I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967, a sq. commander.

After I returned in 1973. I published 2 books that dealt a lot with “real torture” in Hanoi.  Our make believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is.

As for me, put through a mock execution because I would not respond, pistol-whipped on the head–same event. Couple of days later, hung by my feet all day. I escaped and got recaptured a couple of weeks later. I got shot and recaptured. Shot was OK, what happened after was not.

They marched me to Vinh, put me in the rope trick, almost pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a little wooden rod until my eyes swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp.

Next day hung me by the arms, rebroke my right wrist, wiped out the nerves in my arms that control the hands, rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my left forefinger. So I started answering with some incredible lies.

Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck.

Hanoi, on my knees, rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.

Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.

Much kneeling–hands up at Zoo.

Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru kneeling holes.

There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior Officer of a large building because of escape..they started a mass torture of all commanders.

I think it was July 7, 1969, they started beating me with a car fan belt.  In first 2 days I took over 300 strokes..then stopped counting because I never thought I would live thru it.

They continued day-nite torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees..fan belting..  cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke.  opened up both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger. I could not lie on my back.

They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape..and that my 2 roommates knew about it.

The next day I denied the lie.

They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9 strokes of the fan belt every day from about July 11 or 12rh..to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again.

Now, the point of this is that our make-believe president has declared to the world that we (U.S.) are a bunch of torturers. Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they catch us because that is what the U.S. does.

Our make-believe president is a know-nothing fool who thinks that pouring a little water on someone’s face, or hanging a pair of women’s pants over an Arab’s head is TORTURE. He is a meathead.

I just talked to MOH holder Leo Thorsness who was also in my sq in jail, as was John McCain, and we agree that McCain does not speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was torture, or that “water boarding” is torture.

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country are a disgrace to the United States. Please pass this info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the stupidity of the claims that water boarding, which has no after effect, is torture.  If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC, hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

100 Days, 100 Projects, $1,000 per U.S. Family

Yesterday, the administration issued a document called “Recovery Report: 100 Days 100 Projects“:

In the first 100 days since President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law, we have obligated more than $112 billion, created more than 150,000 jobs and helped communities and tribes in every state and territory. But recovery is more than just a compilation of statistics; it’s the return of hope and optimism about the future that comes with making life better for communities and families across the country. And it’s proof of America’s vast capacity to create real progress in the short term as we emerge from an economic crisis that was years in the making.

Once Considered Unthinkable

Once Considered Unthinkable, U.S. Sales Tax Gets Fresh Look
Levy Viewed as Way to Reduce Deficits, Fund Health Reform
By Lori Montgomery
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, May 27, 2009

With budget deficits soaring and President Obama pushing a trillion-dollar-plus expansion of health coverage, some Washington policymakers are taking a fresh look at a money-making idea long considered politically taboo: a national sales tax.

Common around the world, including in Europe, such a tax -- called a value-added tax, or VAT -- has not been seriously considered in the United States. But advocates say few other options can generate the kind of money the nation will need to avert fiscal calamity.

At a White House conference earlier this year on the government's budget problems, a roomful of tax experts pleaded with Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner to consider a VAT. A recent flurry of books and papers on the subject is attracting genuine, if furtive, interest in Congress. And last month, after wrestling with the White House over the massive deficits projected under Obama's policies, the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee declared that a VAT should be part of the debate.

"There is a growing awareness of the need for fundamental tax reform," Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) said in an interview. "I think a VAT and a high-end income tax have got to be on the table."

A VAT is a tax on the transfer of goods and services that ultimately is borne by the consumer. Highly visible, it would increase the cost of just about everything, from a carton of eggs to a visit with a lawyer. It is also hugely regressive, falling heavily on the poor. But VAT advocates say those negatives could be offset by using the proceeds to pay for health care for every American -- a tangible benefit that would be highly valuable to low-income families.

(The rest of the story)

If anyone can still deny that this is Socialism, Marxism or Communism- then they are not being truthful with themselves....

If the proceeds would be used for "health care for every American", then how does that help reduce the deficit? It adds millions more people to an already overloaded and broken system. All I see it doing is exacerbating a horribly over bureaucratic fiasco.

Barney Frank as Chair

I don't know why, but I just can't seem to get enough of this video. I watch it when I need a good laugh.

My particular favorite is about 3:27 and Barney's reply... "Comments on the past behavior of the speaker might be interesting, but they're not points of order." Look at Barney's face when he says that... trying to keep a straight face while replying.

That's the way I see it...

Wondered how long it would take: White House nightlife under investigation

"It was right to criticize corporate execs for using taxpayer bailout money on bonuses and corporate junkets. In the face of this criticism, it is an outrage for Barack and Michelle Obama to party on, as Rome burns. It's like throwing a party at a funeral," he said.

Daschle’s revenge: health care Trojan Horse

The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.

But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”

Since when is the government qualified to make health care decisions for an individual? And how will the government deem what exactly is appropriate? And cost effective... for who? The government?

The campaign is over.... act like it!

"He reduced himself from being president of all the American people to being the partisan leader of the left," former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said of Obama's Thursday night speech. "The first month of your presidency is not a very good time to give a campaign speech."

I don't think Obama will ever stop campaigning, he seems to have an inherent need for constant backing, constant approval, constant ego stroking. He says what the people who have appropriated the power in this country(power hungry congress) want to hear, so that he comes off as the leader, the originator of the idea, the answer man, the savior. He does what feeds the immediate, short term, greedy desires of the masses (at the cost of real long term change) to buy & bribe his popularity. By the time people realize the change he talks about is a change from bad to worse, they will have forfeited their liberties, rights and freedoms.

The past is to learn from, the present is for action and the future is the result.
Don't let his tainted view of history befoul the reality of our future.

Nuke Bunker anyone?

Start building yours now...

I will slow our development of future combat systems. And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending. Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.

Ya, I'm sure Hamas, Al Qaeda, Russia & Iran will all drop their missles for a big D'Obama group hug.

Coruptocrats don't hide their distain for anyone

Conservative Groups Declare Obama's Stimulus Bill a War on Prayer

A provision in the House-passed stimulus bill -- banning money to be used to renovate schools from being spent on facilities that allow "religious worship" -- has ignited fury among those who claim it discriminates on the basis of faith and violates the right to free speech.

So, it can truely be said, the Democrats don't have (or want) a prayer.... Yet, D'Obama is assembling an interfaith gang in Washington. Why?

Pelosi..... just duh!

500 Million!?? 500Million Americans will lose their jobs each month. The total population of the USA, according to the world fact book, is currently 305.7Million. At that rate the whole world will be unemployed within 14 months. Pelosi will say anything to scare people into voting for her 'Generational Theft Act' package.
Somehow this is Bush's fault.

Where's FEMA now that it's Barack's watch...

WHERE’S FEMA? Nearly 1M without power 5 days after ice storm. “Local officials grew angrier at what they said was a lack of help from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.”

Wasn't it not too long ago that everyone was screaming about FEMA not showing up quick enough to New Orleans and surrounding areas after Hurricane Katrina, and it somehow being George W. Bush's fault?

Well... who's watch is it NOW?! Oh that's right, too busy planning a superbowl party in the "people's house", except the "people" that got the invitation for the party are not the ordinary citizens.

About Time!! -- Capitol Visitors Center told to send back 'Made in China' items

CNN: Washington souvenirs worth $100,000 — including images of the Capitol dome and printings of the U.S. Constitution — are locked in storage, blocked from sale in the new U.S. Capitol Visitors Center because the items are made in China.

Rep. Bob Brady, D-Pennsylvania: "We can certainly find people that can make souvenirs of the nation's capital in America," Brady said. In the past 10 days, he said, up to 40 U.S. companies have contacted his officer [sic] eager to provide Capitol souvenirs and trinkets.

Well its about f'ing time!!! Now, if more people would follow suit and support American businesses.

Celebration in the White House

On the heels of the most expensive inaugural celebration in American history and passage of a trillion-dollar spending binge that will saddle future generations with unprecedented debt, perhaps President Obama might consider cutting back on such indulgences.
Or is the White House exempt from “shared sacrifice,” Mr. President?

At least the House Republicans can hold their heads high for not Bending Over on the 2009 $819Billion debt for the future.

Corruption at every level of government -- this time Mississippi mayor

CNN: Mississippi mayor, wife arrested on Katrina fraud charges

The non-partisan CBO tells eternal truths about government spending in the past, present, and future:
Frequently in the past, in all types of federal programs, a noticeable lag has occurred between sharp increases in budget authority and the resulting increases in outlays. Based on such experiences, CBO expects that federal agencies, along with states and other recipients of that funding, would find it difficult to properly manage and oversee a rapid expansion of existing programs so as to expend the added funds as quickly as they expend the resources provided for their ongoing programs.

All I can say is OMG... Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh After Firing Back at Obama

FOXNews.com: Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launches an online petition to express outrage at Rush Limbaugh after he said he wanted President Obama to fail.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition to express outrage at conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh for saying he wanted President Obama to "fail."

Uhm... don't we have bigger things to worry about in this country? An economy that is in the toilet, bloody monday with 71,000+ jobs lost this week, stimulus package on Capital Hill... but the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee thinks that an online petition to express outrage to a radio show host should be focused on instead of the other issues?!

If Blagojevich and Illinois are excluded in stimulus, why not include "Buy American"?!

If the State of Illinois is excluded from stimulus funding because Blagojevich is still holding office as Governor, then why don't they add in an inclusion to Buy American?

Add in the requirement for anyone who gets one cent from this stimulus package to either buy their goods or services from American businesses ONLY. Stop sending money over to other countries for cheaper labor, lead loaded toys for tots, etc..

Wouldn't this help the economy, along with the majority of small businesses that make up the majority of business in the United States?

What happened to pride and innovation in America? Oh that's right, we can outsource for cheaper labor and people who only care about receiving the dollars.

Democrats Lower Hopes Stimulus Package Will Shore Up Battered Economy

Administration warns the country could face a long and painful financial recovery, even with major government intervention to stimulate the economy.

Reality sets in...

Politicians out of touch with reality

Watching Glenn Beck on Fox News doing an interview with Sarah Palin (1/19/09), he brings up a good point. When is the last time a politician has gone to Wendys and ordered a frosty... and ordered it themselves. When was the last time they went to a gas station and filled up their tanks with a gallon of gas... gas they paid for themselves and pumped themselves?

Perhaps if politicians had been in touch with reality, they would more fully understand what the low and middle class in this country deals with each and everyday.

California is coming unraveled at the seams...

...day 81 without a budget and unemployment over 9%... One would think the Speaker of the House, who hails from California herself, along with Senators Feinstein and Boxer, would take more of an interest in the problems going on in our beloved state.

Granted, the Speaker has had a busy schedule lately up on Capital Hill with all the photo ops with the new administration, and Feinstein has been busy being Mistress of Ceremonies for the inauguration of the new administration... But where has Boxer been? Not a peep out of her in awhile.

Well I guess we'll just sit back and endure the bleak and bumpy ride, while foreclosures and unemployment are on the rise.

Obama reverses abortion-funding policy

President Obama struck down a rule Friday that prohibits U.S. money from funding international family-planning clinics that promote abortion or provide counseling or referrals about abortion services.

Now tell me how in the hell this is going to stimulate the US economy... help the many of Americans who have lost their jobs... the many people whose homes are going into foreclosure...

How you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives – how does that stimulate the economy?

After White House Meeting, Boehner Discusses House GOP's Economic Recovery Proposals

HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADER JOHN BOEHNER (R-OH):

How you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives – how does that stimulate the economy?

Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails

Look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care. I do not want the government in charge of all of these things. I don't want this to work. - Rush Limbaugh

Government growing bigger?! The problem IS the government.

Palin's email breach- It's Palin's fault!!

It was bound to happen. The Demo-Hypocrites (DemoCrites) are applying the it's all the Republican's fault rule.
It is Sarah Palin's fault that her email was hacked. The 20 year old son (David) of Democratic Rep. Mike Kernell is the victim....
Poor David is the victim.
It is Sarah Palin's fault that David Kernell got on his computer, aquired the password information from YAHOO via the "forgot my password" feature. It is Sarah Palin's fault that YAHOO allowed David Kernell to get the password. It is Sarah Palin's fault that David Kernell logged in the YAHOO email account (illegally) and took screen shots & stole personal information and then posted those + Sarah Palin's password on the internet.
Poor David Kernell, son of Tennessee Democratic Represenitive Mike Kernell & NObama supporter, he is the victim. Something needs to be done.
CALL SHARKSON!!! Oh, that's right.... since Sarah Palin (white woman) is the 'offender' and David Kernell (whiteboy) is the victim- this is not in the jurisdiction of SHARKSON!!

Another "victim" of the housing debacle

Where do I start?
Politicians are already overpaid. They already waste more tax money than they spend to benefit the USA. They continue to live the "do as I say not as I do" lifestyle, condemning those of us who were stupid enough to put them in office.
I'm surprised they haven't passed legislation to give Senators & Congresspeople large cash bonuses so that they can afford their 3rd multi million dollar house (complete with wait staff & security)
You can be guaranteed that this will not mar her credit score, afterall she doesn't have to play by the same rules as the peasants.

House Republicans Declare War on Secret Earmarks & Wasteful Spending

It doesn't matter if you are Republican, Democrat or other.... you have to agree that this is wrong. Pork-Barrel projects and spending is wrong. If it is not good enough to stand on its own, then it should not be burried in another, often unrelated, bill to be rubber stamped and milk taxpayers out of billions of dollars.

This week on the House floor Democrats in Congress will begin their efforts in earnest to hide pork-barrel projects from voters, budget watchdog groups, and Republicans who challenge wasteful spending.

Call, write and email your represenative and congressperson to tell them that this tactic is not welcome.

She's Baaaaaaaaaaaack

Paris has been returned to LA County Jail.....

Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She'll get credit for at least 5 days already served.

There may still be justice in America..

Lady justice is blindfolded for a reason. Race, religion, social status is not supposed to have any weight on justice.
imho

help someone today

Sharkson speaks on Paris

Imagine that- Paris is released from jail after just a few horrific nights of tears and bad clothing, and Al Sharpton has words to share with America about it.

"This early release gives all the appearances of economic and racial favoritism that is constantly cited by poor people and people of color," the civil-rights leader and president of National Action Network said Thursday, according to the Drudge Report. "There are any number of cases of people who handle being incarcerated badly and even have health conditions that are not released."

**I hate to admit it, but I agree with Sharkson on that one.** :-(

"I have served several sentences for civil rights and civil disobedience actions and I even fasted, which caused health concerns to prison authorities who paid for a doctor to come see me daily rather than release me," Sharpton said.
Yeah, well- The grand poobah of 'civil rights' should still be in jail too.

So it appears that Paris was released due to the emotional strain that jail caused... well DUH!!! It's jail. It's meant to be a shock, a blow to ones emotions. You've committed a crime. There a better people who have had worse experiences in jail, but they still had to serve the sentence handed them. DWI and DUI are serious issues, and multiple violations is inexcusable. She was given a second and third chance, but violated the terms of her parole- essentially telling the justice system that feels above the law or superior to anyone who enforces them.
She should serve the full sentence, tears and all. imho

Give a helping hand

Paris is out

After serving barley 5 days of a 40 day sentence, Paris Hilton has been released from Jail with an ankle bracelet.
She was released for 'medical' reasons.
She will be serving her time under house arrest rather than in jail....
Wow that'll be rough. She'll have to stay home with the staff all day. That might fall under cruel and unusual punishment.
